Mewthree design - Contest Entry

Description

So, my entry for the #The-Mew3-Townside 'Mewthree Design Contest'. (And it is Wednesday, isn't it? It is here, anyway.)

Anyway, not as the actual backstory on this fakemon doesn't matter for the contest, I guess I won't go into it too much.

It, or in this case 'he' (this design is not genderless), was created by mixing Mewtwo genes (perhaps from actual DNA from THE Mewtwo, or perhaps from previous failed attempts... presuming Mewtwo itself wasn't the *first* 'mewtwo specimin' created, but rather the first that actually survived) with the psychic Espeon - an espeon being chosen as it is known to be *extremely* loyal and protective of it's trainer, thus hoping it would counter the uncontrollable aggressiveness that Mewtwo showed without losing any of it's might.

However - you saw this coming, right? - this creature is, for example, a quadroped - it cannot walk upright, but it's arms are not really designed to be 'front paws' any more than Mewtwo's were. The result being that he has trouble moving on fours, as well as not able to easily walk on it's hind legs.

While this all did result in an aggressive and powerful psychic pokémon (though his power is certainly not greater than mew or mewtwo's), and they did actually achieve a creature loyal to it's trainer (though it has it's own idea of what loyalty means - meaning it should never get wind that its master is even slightly at odds with someone, else it'll go after them to the death - it may even turn on its master, if it senses an inner conflict within said master... thus, must be kept in tight control).

But, enough of the backstory I said I wasn't going to go into, and onto the design:

It has bent-kneed back legs and a curved catlike spine, so cannot really walk upright. It's forearms are not really meant to be used as front legs - so it is not fast on all fours [not to say it can't quickly turn about in a scuffle, just that it is not a fast runner - it is a good jumper though, due to it's sturdy hind-quarters]. It can levitate itself, but is not especially good at that.
(These problems frustrate the pokemon to no end - it may also be in a state of either chronic discomfort or even pain.)

Also, it's pupils are not sharp, but lost in the espeon blue.

It does not have the forehead jewel of the espeon, but something of a scar or dent where it would have been - this area glows pink though when it's using it's powers - and will become very punctuated as though it almost has the red jewel (its blue eyes would also turn pink and glow pink when it's using it's powers). There is also a question of how well it can actually see (rather, it 'sees' contrast in tones and movements, can also see colours, and though it is very accurate and can even read, it might come off as being nearly blind, or very near-sighted, if it can't use its psychic powers - in short, it probably can't see an umbreon as much more than a dark blur, and if it's reading text, it'll hold whatever only centimetres from it's eyes and appear to be squinting to focus).

Its 'necktube' (or 'second neck', whatever you want to call it), provides the same purpose as Mewtwo's - as it's neck is very small (not going to bother going into what I think the 'necktube's' actual purpose is).

It is not a huge pokémon, rather about 4 feet long, minus the tail. The tail is as sturdy as mewtwo's. (I have no idea how much it weighs, but I'd guess around 150lbs)

Its large ears are also not very mobile - being boney like Mewtwo's... actually, it can't move them at all, making them rather vulnerable in physical scuffles.

Though this specimin is without a doubt male, whether it's actually breedable with any other pokémon or not, is uncertain (it would certainly be breedable with a female version, but he's the only one).

Notes:

* ...Yes, I wanted to mix an espeon with a mewtwo. I suck. But, if I was going to even bother with it, I was going to do something that intregued myself - especially considering I don't expect it to win anything. ;-)
(Actually, I don't even expect anyone to dig it - seriously! I'm not great at this stuff, honestly.)

* I realise I technically screwed up combining a bent quadrupedal spine with a somewhat humanoid/mewtwo-ish upper torso... oops.

* And I was going for a very simple design, but would still clearly be espeon/mewtwo mix. This did not give me a lot of colours to work with.. so, I tried to make up for that in other areas.

This mewthree design belongs to me.

I think the combining of a Mewtwo and an Espeon is rather interesting. Depending on the size of it compared to the previous form, it gives it something of a very... reverted, sort of, predatory pose. It looks like it could probably do some real damage, too, as long as it's hunched like that. ;)
